Mink Fur (Mink Hair)

This belongs to the category of natural protein fiber that is animal hair known as fur. It is generally divided into 2 parts. The outer guard hair is located on the outside of the body and is coarse, rough, fairly stiff, and white; this part is not used to make clothing and garments, but is commonly woven into coarse fabric, used to make furniture and rugs. The inner underfur is located close to the animal's skin, covered by the shorter outer guard hair, and is soft with fine strands, of better quality than the outer layer, and is used to make clothing and garments, as well as fine fabric.

Care Instructions

We recommend having your fur coat dry-cleaned, especially mink winter coats, at least twice a year, particularly during the rainy season. Cleaning both the inside and outside, from the root of the fur to the tip, is a thorough cleaning process that helps restore shine to the fur, preventing it from becoming dry and stiff, while keeping the skin supple and not brittle, making the fur shinier and stronger. However, it is not recommended to put it in a clothes dryer, no matter which brand of clothes dryer is best, because it may turn fluffy fur into scorched, frizzy fur.
