The fiber is fine, glossy, soft, and strong, with good pliability and resistance to breaking, and is quite water-resistant. It is white or cream colored, with a fiber length of about 2-4 inches. Pina fabric has a fine, beautiful texture and is used to make clothing and tablecloths, which can be beautifully decorated with embroidered flowers. It is considered a traditional native fabric of the Philippines.
